Arts Access Miami
Arts Access Miami (AAM) is a countywide collective impact initiative that unites schools, nonprofits, funders, and civic leaders to build a sustainable, systems-based solution for arts education. Central Dade Arts Alliance
Building on the success of the North Dade (2020) and South Dade (2024) Alliances, Arts Access Miami is launching the Central Dade Arts Alliance in the 2026–2027 school year. This next regional alliance will serve approximately 3,500 students across neighborhoods such as Brownsville, Allapattah, Liberty City, West Little River, and Gladeview.
*Two feeder patterns will be identified by the end of January 2026 as the focus for year one of this expansion.
Grants will range from $35,000 to $200,000, depending on the scope and scale of the proposed program. Awards will fund the 2026–2027 school year. All grantees must reapply annually for continued funding.
We will partner with music and arts organizations that deliver both high-quality instruction and positive youth development in alignment with priorities of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system.

Funding Priorities
We will prioritize proposals that demonstrate:
- Local presence in Central Dade neighborhoods (Allapattah, Brownsville, Gladeview, Liberty City, Little Havana, West Little River).
- Strong leadership at executive and program levels.
- Direct, hands-on arts education for PK–12 with an emphasis on music. Programs in other disciplines (Ex: visual, literary, dance, theatre, etc) will also be considered if aligned with M-DCPS priorities.
- Proven impact with priority student populations.
- Operational capacity to implement and sustain quality programming.
- Collaborative approach with schools, nonprofits, and stakeholders.
- Evaluation & learning with clear outcomes and data use.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants must:
- Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or have a fiscal sponsor.
- Demonstrate at least two years of direct service of successful programming in Miami-Dade County (supplemental/non-direct-service orgs are not eligible).
- Have 2+ full-time staff and adequate infrastructure.
- 50% cash match to the proposed program budget (in-kind excluded).
- Demonstrate capacity for program evaluation and measurable outcomes.
Each organization may submit one proposal.
Contractual Expectations
Participation and Attendance:
Both executive and program staff from partner organizations are expected to actively and consistently engage in the following meetings and events.
- Orientation: 1 virtual session (1 hour)
- Executive Leader Meetings: Quarterly (approximately 5 hours each)
- Program Director Meetings: Monthly (2 hours each)
- Marketing Meetings: Monthly (2 hours each)
- Data Meetings & Trainings: Twice per year (90 mins. each)
- Principal Cohort Meetings: Twice per year (2 hours each)
- Youth Music Festival Planning Meetings: As scheduled (1 hour each)
- Central Dade Youth Music Festival: Once annually in the spring (full-day commitment)
Program delivery:
- Align programming to the academic calendar
- Maintain active M-DCPS affiliation and ensure all staff have Level 2 background checks
- Host at least one Fall and one Spring culminating event
Data & evaluation:
- Track and report attendance
- Conduct baseline and end-of-year assessments
- Administer Hello Insight pre- and post-surveys
- Share site-level data as requested
- Host site visits for peers and donors
Marketing & communications:
- Use approved Arts Access Miami brand assets
- Coordinate at least one social media post or related communication per semester
- Provide periodic metrics or engagement reports
